Fetal Splenic Aplasia/Hypoplasia
· Hypoplastic spleen- The spleen is not clearly visualized; splenic hypoplasia may he associated with Di George’s syndrome and sickle cell anaemia.
· Splenic aplasia- True splenic aplasia is rare and may be hereditary or secondary to
exposure to warfarin in utero.
